The electrical room will be where all of the electrical services will come in. This will include the grid, and solar panels. All electricity will store in battery banks, and these banks will provide electricity. This means if someone was to have a desktop PC such as the media center PC in the great room will find that the power coming from the banks rather than the grid will keep power from going out even for a second. This can be catastrophic if a desktop PC was to shut off during a system update. There will be 4 banks for the penthouse. When solar panels, and grid electricity is not available, then the gas generator will provide electric to all of the outlets as opposed to one outlet per room for the apartments. When solar panels fills up the battery banks, any excess will go to the grid for credit. The enitre penthouse floors will have whole system surge protection even though the batteries will supply conditioned electricity to the outlets and switches.
