The communications room is where all of the internet/network, telephone, and television will run to. This is one single point, and this is the most efficient way of doing things. There will be 2 networks. The first network will be 4201 which is for the family, or myself. There will be 4201-g which will be exclusively for the guests. When a visitor walks in, they can tap their handheld on a NFC tag, and connect to the guest network.
For networking, the main network will have every server that is available with Senitrus. The media, and storage server will be 5U, and the other servers will be 1U. These servers will be available to 4201. The telephony server will only support my Ideal Phone Setup. This is because any subscriber number starting with 42 or 43 will be for the penthouse, but it will still use the realty’s telephone network. The guest network will have access to a home server, and a network server, but that would be all. There will be no need to have anything else since this is not a dedicated and private apartment but for a guest wing only. No one will be living there permanently, nor should they as they don’t have a private entry into the guest wing.
There will be 2 telephone networks. The first will have all of the numbers that would be 555-4xxx. These numbers will connect to the building wide wifi network. This will allow the phone to connect to the network no matter where they are in the building. I could for example, use phone ending in 4201 to call for a pizza, and about 30 minutes in, go to the first floor to wait for the delivery driver. If they should need to call, the 4201 line will still ring even though I am 42 floors away. This system will out perform any DECT? system. The primary network will have a telephony server. This server will have the same features as the building network including eFaxing capabilities. The difference is I will use @fspfax.com as the mail network. All private lines will plug into this telephony server. For example, my 412, and 724 numbers from within my Ideal Phone Setup will use the private telephony server.
The TV network will have 6 Tablo 4s DVR?s which will allow each child to record shows they wish to watch, but can’t watch at air time because they need to go to school, do homework, or perform chores. Each smart TV will be able to connect to the appropriate DVR which will be named B1.1, B1.2, B2, B3, B4, and B5. There will also be an extensive media library within the media server. This will allow anyone to access the media server, and watch whatever content they will wish to watch. If there is a movie or TV show that is not in the media server, then the foster child can request it. The FiOS? TV services will come into the communications room, and that would extend to all of the TVs.
